Important Information

CCP Certification -  Teachers interested in teaching College Credit Plus (CCP)courses can receive coursework at no cost through a grant at Cleveland State University.  Please see me if you think you would be a good candidate to teach a CCP course. Click here for more information.  The deadline is March 31.  80 teachers will be accepted.

Vocabulary Help - A big shout out to Kristen Hendl for her outstanding presentation on Vocabulary Acquisition on January 25th and 26th.  We had 7 students attend and gain valuable skills in learning and remembering vocabulary words and definitions.  Many more than seven of our students struggle with vocabulary as evidenced by ProgressBook grade details and your academic support forms.  When sessions are offered that will help your students, please REQUIRE them to attend, check attendance and issue points if they do not attend.  Fortunately, Kristen has offered to help any student needing help with vocabulary on Tuesdays during 5B.  Please have your student that struggles in vocabulary attend one or more of these intervention sessions.

AIR Test Remediation - Thank you to our ELA, math, science and social studies departments for meeting to discuss students needing to retake last year AIR assessments.  Please begin to contact your students via email to set up weekly appointments to work with your students.  Please review this confidential list to identify what other areas of remediation are required by your students.  The following schedule acts as a guide for students needing to retake more than one exam. Please schedule your own meetings that work best for you and your remediation students.
  • Monday - ELA
  • Tuesday - Math
  • Wednesday - Science
  • Thursday - Social Studies
  • Friday - Open
