Important Information
WGHS on WKYC - At a school board meeting in January, Rosie Fahey and Eileen Faulk were recognized for their second place finish in NASA Glenn Research Center’s 2018 Microgravity Expulsion from Water Challenge. In addition to the notoriety they received from West G, they also presented their work at a National Conference in Washington D.C. Their success was possible with the guidance and assistance of a couple of WGHS staff members, Alan Duncan and Aly Ledman. Rosie and Eileen credit much of their accomplishments in receiving the award and recognition to these teachers. Thank you, Alan and Aly for working with these two students to push and challenge Rosie and Eileen in this competition. You can read about their project here and/or watch them on WKYC at 7:00 P.M. on March 12th where they will appear in a Betsy Kling segment. Aly and Alan are also included in the piece.
Spirit Week - It is Snowball Week! Stephanie Meyer and WGHS Student Council have planned a fun week for the students. Please feel free to join the students in the dress schedule. The week ends with a pep assembly and staff vs, student dodgeball game shortly after 2:00 on Friday.
Academic Support Forms - Be sure to complete academic support forms for struggling students. All procedures for completing the form can be found on the Academic Support Forms link found at the top of this page or by clicking here.
ACT - Thank you to Sarah Widman for doing a great job of organizing the ACT assessment given to all of our juniors on Wednesday. Also, thank you to our test proctors for their diligence and detail required for a successful administration.
Geauga Achieve Fundraiser - The annual Geauga Achieve Fundraiser will be held this year on Saturday, March 9th. Tickets are $60/couple and can be purchased through Emily Swartzlander in the Geauga Achieve classroom (115). Click here for more information.
