Important Information
2018 Testing Information - I have included a new tab at the top of this bulletin that will include testing information for the 2018 AIR End of Course Exams. Recently, the state sent out information that Ohio will not use extended response questions on the Math, Science and Social Studies EOC's. Included in this link is information regarding the question formats that will be used. I have pasted them below, but please read the additional information here.

PSAT/NMSQT - The PSAT/NMSQT Assessment will be given to all sophomores and interested juniors on Wednesday, September 11th. The test will begin immediately at 7:25; therefore, we will not have a late start for those taking the test. Second period teachers need to be sure this is communicated with your sophomore and junior students. Students should come prepared with two number 2 pencils. Last year the test went a little into 5th period. Since we are using the cafeteria, we will make an announcement to hold students in class at the end of 4th if the test runs long.
Students Tardy to Class - Please set the expectation that all students need to be to your class on time. Issue suspension points to student who do not get to class by the time the bell rings. If a student is late to your first period class, please send them to the attendance office.
Homecoming Week - Thank you to Mrs. Meyer for sending out the homecoming week details in an email. The details for the week are below.
- Sunday, October 1st -Student Council will be decorating the hallways for spirit week. We will be decorating ONLY the main hallway/entryway of the school and then a few posters randomly dispersed in the various hallways.
- Monday, October 2nd - Pajama Day
- Tuesday, October 3rd - Tie Dye Day
- Wednesday, October 4th - Neon Day
- Red vs. Blue Powder Puff Game - 7:30pm -This will take place at the Football Field in the evening! Come cheer on the Junior and Senior girls as they compete for bragging rights!
- Thursday, October 5th- Hawaiian Day
- Homecoming Court Assembly - This will take place during the morning (extended 4th period). As a reminder this is a serious assembly where the school will be introduced to the 5 girls running for Homecoming Queen, and the Homecoming Court Escorts. Please encourage your students to be quiet and respectful during the assembly. All students will sit with their classroom teacher in the bleachers during this assembly. - Pep Assembly - This will take place during an extended 8th period at the end of the day. Students should sit with their grade. Students will sit with their graduating class during this assembly. Please see the seating chart here.

- Parade - The parade will line up at Metzenbaum starting at 4pm. It will kick off at 5pm, travel down Cedar Rd to the MS entrance and then to the football field. If you are in charge of a group/club/sport/activity (inside and outside of school) and would like to participate in the parade please let me know ASAP! Please plan to stay late, or come early to the game, to support the students in the parade! We are trying to make it the best ever, but if there is no one to watch it will be sad.
- Homecoming Game - Come cheer on the Wolverines as they beat Orange! The Homecoming Queen will be announced during pre-game
- Saturday, October 7th
- Homecoming Dance - 8pm-11pm - The theme this year is “Hollywood". It is really shaping up to be a great theme and year. We have a great DJ,and photo booth. I am in need of some ticket takers for the dance. You would need to come a little before 8pm and only stay until around 9pm (you do NOT need to stay for the entire dance!). This is an AWESOME opportunity to see your students all "dressed up" and outside of the classroom. Students are always excited to see their teachers at the dance, and I am always appreciative of those willing to help! As an added bonus, you get brownie points with the administration!
