eTPES Teacher Guide - If you haven't seen the eTPES teacher guide, I have now placed the full document in the Teacher Opening Day Google Folder.  Here is a direct link to the document.

College Fair Flyer - All teachers are receiving a 2017 Kickstart College Fair flyer in their mailboxes this week.  Please post the flyer in your classrooms and encourage all to attend.  Over 100 college and universities will travel to West G on March 15 for this nice event.  Thank you!  Here is a link to the flyer if needed.

Diversity Center - The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio will be back to West Geauga High School to train our freshmen mentors in the areas of Diversity 101, (dis)Ability, Gender, Race & Ethnicity on February 17th.  This all day training will prepare our mentors to present to our freshmen class on February 23rd and 24th.  A schedule will be created to help minimize lost instructional time yet provide important information and training to our freshmen students.  Student groups will be divided by English class and shared with you this week.

AIR Assessments - AIR Assessments dates have been posted on our district calendar.  The dates are as follows:

  • April 10 - ELA Part I
  • APril 11 - ELA Part II
  • April 12 & 13 - ELA I & II Make-up - April 13 is the last possible day to take an ELA exam
  • April 20 - Science & Social Studies Parts I
  • April 21 - Science & Social Studies Parts II
  • April 23 & 24 - Science & Social Studies Make-up 
  • April 27 - Math Part I 
  • April 28 - Math Part II
  • May 1 & 2 - Math Make-up - May 2 is the last possible day to take a Math, Science or Social Studies exam. 

If you teach students in the above tested areas, please advise them of their test dates.  Please note with your students that if they are absent during the test dates and miss the make up assignment, they will not be permitted to take the test this spring.  The next available test for them to take will be in December.
