Important Information
IEP Meetings- Teachers should be prepared to talk about students as it relates to their IEP goals during an IEP meeting. You are invited to attend these meetings through Google Calendar. Special education teachers send regular education teachers an invitation that will arrive in your email inbox and appear on your Google Calendar once accepted. These invitations can be accepted by clicking "Yes" in the email or through Google Calendar.
Tardy Students - There are too many students in the hall when the bell rings to begin a period. Students should receive points when they are late to your class. Students arriving late to first period
need to be directed to the attendance office for a pass or points.
Period Room Change - Please place a note on your classroom door if you are not in your scheduled room location. Include the periods you will be out of the room and the new room location. Thank you.
Progress Reports - We are not going to send home separate progress reports in the middle of each quarter. With the use Academic Support Forms all parents are contacted when a student struggles in your room. Remember, it is important to stay in touch with parents while their child is struggling in your class. It is always best to make the initial contact via a phone call.

| Deanna is congratulated for new course she designed and built. |
New Cross Country Course - West Geauga's cross country teams recently competed for the first time on our campus. Deanna Swinerton took it upon herself to build a new course on our property in order to partially fulfill her Girl Scout Gold Award. A big shout out to John Boylan and Mike Taurasi for helping Deanna reach her goal. Much of the new course was built east of the power lines and the work included cutting trails through the trees, laying gravel and building a bridge. Be sure to congratulate and thank Deanna for her hard work that will benefit many of our students for years to come.
Letters of Recommendation - Thank you, Sarah Widman, for sharing this PowerPoint presentation on writing exceptional letters of recommendation. It is worth a read for anyone writing recommendations for our students. This link will permanently sit at the top of this bulletin.
