Important Information

Attendance - Every student that is marked absent from any of your classes is followed up by Mrs. Poelking.  This can be a daunting task as you can imagine. If a student is marked absent and then arrives later in the period, please change the record to tardy.  Although not always convenient, it may be helpful to take attendance at the end of the period.  Also, students should get in the habit of first reporting to class and asking for a pass to go to the nurse, guidance counselor or office.  This, too, will allow all teachers to keep accurate attendance.  Thank you for all of your help with the the new attendance changes and requirements.

Homecoming Volunteers - Please consider volunteering your time to assist Stephanie Meyer with homecoming this year. This year's homecoming game will be played on September 23 and the dance will be on Saturday, September 24th. Let Stephanie know if you are available. Thanks.

Hidden in Plain Sight - West Geauga High School has invited the acclaimed "Hidden in Plain Sight" program to our building on September 28th.  This program is presented by Copley, Bath and Chester Police Departments.  Presenters will set up a "bedroom" in the school gymnasium and allow parents to identify items that could trigger red flags regarding their teenager's involved in substance abuse, underage drinking, eating disorders, sexual activity and more. This event is for adults only so please encourage only adults to attend.  Click here for the press release and flyer.
