College Fair Flyer - After successful 2014 and 2015 college fairs, West Geauga High School, OACAC (college admission counselors) and West Geauga Educational Foundation will host the event again this year.  The fair is open to schools in the area as well as any student in our district.  Please encourage your students to take advantage of the opportunity, regardless of grade.  

Fashion Show - The After Prom Fashion Show is looking for teacher volunteers to participate in their fundraising event on January 31st.  Please let me know if you have interested.

AIR/PARCC Test Remediation - Last week's scheduled staff meeting will not be made up.  In its place, English, math, and social studies will meet with their departments to discuss procedures for subject area remediation.  Mrs. Gregory will communicate to the science department regarding the slightly different procedures needed for physical science remediation.  Please see last week's bulletin for more information regarding test remediation.

ELA and Math Cut Scores Announced - From ODE - "The State Board of Education has approved the recommended cut scores proposed by more than 100 teachers and content experts in English language arts and mathematics who served on standard-setting committees this school year. These committees proposed five performance levels for the tests, outlining the scores that students minimally must earn to achieve each performance level (Advanced, Accelerated, Proficient, Limited and Basic). Department staff analyzed the results and recommendations and prepared projections for the expected performance of Ohio students on the new state math and English language arts tests. Observations - All teachers are either being observed formally or informally this year. If you haven't done so already, please set up an observation with your assigned principal. We would like all observation to be completed by the end of February.  Please complete your growth plan prior to your observation.
