You reach people not by beating them over the head or by preaching to them; you reach them by loving them. – Zach Wamp

Important Information
Cafeteria Trays - Thanks to Mike Sustin and our Environmental Club, we have moved away from using Styrofoam cafeteria trays. We are now using reusable plastic trays that are washed and reused, daily. Since the beginning of the year, several trays have not been returned to the kitchen. Please check your classrooms to see if any have been misplaced and return them to the cafeteria and let students know that trays are not permitted outside of the cafe. Thanks.
Advisory Period - Please make sure your students are accounted for during advisory period. All advisory period students should have a pass to attend tutoring sessions or when they get help from another teacher. Please issue points to students for cutting advisory.
New Staff - Please join me in welcoming Jim Flowers and Valerie Schmotzer to our building's staff. Jim lives in the community and will be working as a special education aide. His responsibilities will also include the monitoring of the halls and cafeteria. Valerie joins us from the Akron area and is filling in as a special education teacher while Molly is on leave. Welcome to the team!
Because I Said I Would - It was an awesome opportunity to have Alex Sheen present to WGHS on Thursday. He engaged us by sharing stories and experiences while encouraging all us to make and keep promises that benefit ourselves and the greater good. His talk made us laugh, cry, pause and reflect. A cafeteria wall will be used to display all of the "because i said i would" cards. Thank you to Mrs. Meyers and student council for helping to bring Alex to West G.
