Important Information

College Fair - WGHS and WEDGE will be hosting a college fair for current 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders.   A wonderful program has been put together that includes guest speakers talking about choosing a major, college athletics and tips for choosing a college.  Please find the attached flyer here and encourage all of your students to attend on May 28th from 5-8 pm.  We would love to see teachers there prior to the board meeting if you can make it.

Curriculum Maps & Pacing Guides - Please make sure your curriculum maps and pacing guides are finished prior to leaving for the summer.

SLO's - When you are finished with your SLO's, please print and turn in to me.  Please include the SLO, Pre-test, Post-test and Rubric.  All must be turned them in prior to the end of the year.

Supervision – Keep it up! Let’s finish the year strong. No passes; teachers at doors during passing time; engaging learning activities - every day of the year. We've done it so far – keep it up. Teachers of 12th grade classes will be assigned duties by Mr. Dahlhofer after May 29th.

Dress Code – Spring is always the time when form, fashion and social pressure challenge school rules on student dress. Please review dress code regulations from pp. 12-13 in the Parent – Student Handbook, and remind students that offenders will be asked to change or be sent home for failure to comply with the dress code.

Blizzard Bags -  Great job with the first blizzard bag.  All attendance is in for January 28th and it looks like almost all students completed their work!  Blizzard Bag #2 is due on May 28th and applies to January 29th's attendance. Again, please use Progress Book's period attendance to document if a student should be marked present for January 29th.

End of the Year Checkouts - Check outs can be held at the end of the day on Friday, June 6 if you are finished with all responsibilities.  You can begin to collect signatures from Pam and Joyce as early as Thursday, June 5.  I will be in the week of June 9th if you would like to have some extra time to get your work completed.  Grades must be submitted prior to checking out and are due not later than Tuesday, June 10th.

Thank you! - Thank you to Mr. Walton and Mr. Callahan for managing our pop machine fund.  Mr. Walton, Mr. Callahan and Mrs. Widing have done a phenomenal job organizing the lunches and breakfast for the staff.  Thank you!  Be sure to mark your calendars for June 5 at noon for the last staff luncheon of the year. We will hold a brief staff meeting following lunch.
