Important Information

2014 Interact Fashion Show - As you can see from the pictures here, West Geauga's Interact Club had a great Saturday afternoon raising money for LifeStraw.  LifeStraw is a personal water filter that is in the shape of a straw.  This device is designed to provide safe, clean drinking water in any situation.  Thank you to Ms. Cooey, Mr. Branch, Mr. Cirino, Mrs. Sherwood for modeling the clothes. Congratulations to Mrs. Talty on organizing this wonderful event for a great cause.  Also, be sure to congratulate Lilly Makee for her leadership in putting the show together.

2014 Art Show - Please join Mrs. Janke and Ms.Nells in celebrating their students' artwork.  The student work will be on display at the Fairmount Center for the Arts from May 3 to May 22.  We have some tremendously talented artists in the building and this is an opportunity for you to see their work all displayed together.  Click the flyer for a larger image.

Tech Wednesday- Sean Whelan will be here again on Wednesday to address any technology topics that peek your interest.  Are you curious about sharing documents with your students via Google Drive, posting a video online, updating your website or just seeing how others are using technology in the classroom?  If so, stop by the library on Wednesday at 2:30.

AP Testing - AP testing will begin May 5-  Please click here for the exam schedule.

Final Exam Schedule - Here is the final exam schedule.   Please discard all other exam schedules you may have in your room or on your computer.  This copy will be posted on our buildings website for further clarification.

Finalizing eTPES - The entire teaching staff needs to stop by my office the week of May 5th for a five meeting meeting to go over your summative evaluation.

Observations- If you have not done so already, please acknowledge receipt of your observation in the eTPES system by entering your pin at the bottom of the rubric.  Please have this done by Wednesday, April 30th.

Differentiation from Staff Meeting - Thank you for the great thoughts on differentiation.  Take a look at this document you created in the short amount of time we were together.  There are a lot of great ideas presented and I encourage you to look at them when planning your lessons.  Also, here is the presentation I displayed at our staff meeting with more ideas about differentiation.  Consider using some of these ideas in your lessons, too.  Thanks again for your thoughts!

Green Ribbon School - As stated in this weeks staff meeting, West Geauga High School was named last week as one of four schools in the State of Ohio to receive the Green Ribbon Status.  Thank you to Mike Sustin for spearheading this accomplishment. More information on the award can be found here.  We also received a letter from Secretary Arne Duncan that can be found here.
