Important Information
IEP and 504 Meetings -Thank you to all of our teachers for attending and proving valuable input during student IEP and 504 meetings. As a reminder, teachers should be prepared to talk about students' strengths and struggles as they relate to the IEP goals during the meetings. In order to keep the meeting positive, please start your contribution by sharing multiple positive comments about the student's abilities and accomplishments. You are invited to attend these meetings through Google Calendar. Special education teachers (IEPs) or counselors (504s) send regular education teachers an invitation that will arrive in your email inbox and appear on your Google Calendar. These invitations can be accepted by clicking "Yes" in the email or through Google Calendar. Thank you.
Parent-teacher Conferences - Conferences will be held as scheduled in the school's calendar. Rather than in-person conferences, the meetings will be held via Zoom with teachers at school. A Google Form was created to organize the event. Parents will schedule 10-minute blocks of time with individual teachers. Once a parent schedules the meeting, the time they selected will be removed from options that other parents see when scheduling. Once all the conferences have been scheduled, a list of parents' names and email addresses will be sent to the teachers. Teachers, when you receive your list of attending parents, please send them an email with a Zoom link.
Data Team Meetings - During your data team meetings, please keep a list in Google Sheets of the students in your class that struggle. Please also include the appropriate formative and summative assessments in the document. Here is a link to an example created by our math teachers last year. This data will be used to feed our MTSS process.
Professional Growth Plans - You are scheduled to be either formally or informally observed during the 2020-2021 school year. Please be sure to complete your growth plan in your eTPEs account prior to September 30th and schedule a day to review the document with your evaluating principal. When we meet, please have a few dates and times that are available for your first observation.
You will need to establish two goals when creating your growth plan. The first goal should address Student Outcomes/Achievement and the second goal needs to reflect Teacher Performance on the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.
