Important Information
Building Re-Opening - Overall, last week was an outstanding first week back to the building for our students. Thank you to each of you for the part you played in having the students learn in the classrooms. As you know, these are very different and challenging times. I greatly appreciate all your work to overcome these challenges. Thank you for leaning on each other and providing support to one another to do what is best for each West Geauga High School student. Keep up the great work!
Struggling Students - We are in the process of implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) system at the high school. Training for the system will be provided in upcoming weeks. In the meantime, please implement classroom strategies to help struggling learners, document these interventions, and communicate with students' parents via phone and email.
Absent In-Building Students - An email was sent to all students and families on Sunday evening regarding in-building students and absences. Several students have reached out over the last week requesting to attend classes online if they were absent from the building. This communication should clear up any questions you or the students may have regarding in-building absent students.
Face Shields - Face shields are available. Please email me if you would like one.
Monitor Halls - Please stand at your door between periods. Help ensure students are moving through the halls without congregating. It is important we all participate in this practice. Thank you!
