WGTV - A big thank you to Sarah Thrasher and Kelly Klampe for their work in getting the new and improved morning announcements up and running. In the event you missed the memo, WGTV is now streaming the daily announcements on YouTube. Each day, at the beginning of second period, the announcements will be streamed and archived here. Second period is four minutes longer than the other periods so students can watch the daily announcements. Please make sure this is happening in your classroom. Please see me if you are having technical difficulties accessing the site. Here are the directions as provided by the West G TV advisers:

Bully Prevention - October is Bully Prevention Month. The month is designated to bring awareness and remind our student and staff about the prevalence of bullying in communities. Always be mindful of the conversations that are taking place in your classroom. If you observe anyone being improperly treated by another student or adult, report the incident to Mr. Dahlhofer or me as soon as possible. We will often ask reporting staff members to provide a written account of the incident. The same is true if a student tell you about a situation where they felt harassed or bullied. Please let the school's administration know so the situation can be fully investigated.

Positive Phone Calls - Please contact parents when students are to be commended for the outstanding work they are doing in your classroom. There is not one parent that would not want to hear great news about their child. This message gets passed to the student and encourages him/her to continually put their best foot forward.
Grades - Please keep parents and students apprised of their course progress. This means keeping grades up to date in the gradebook, proper communication through email and completing academic support forms when required. No parent or student should be surprised by a grade received in a course. Proper communication and partnering with parents will go a long way in the success of our students.
Winter EOC's- Please note that the Ohio's winter End-of-Course Exams will be given to select students during the week of December 3rd. The dates have been noted on the school's calendar for your reference. As we near closer to the test, a list of students taking the exams will be published to the staff.
