Important Information

Parent-Teacher Conferences - Great job with conferences. Our families appreciated the time you gave each of them during the last two Thursday evenings. Parents are our biggest asset and it is important to continually involve them in student learning.   Be sure to reach out to parents throughout the year when concerns or praises need to be given to them regarding their child.

AIR Test Specifications - ODE provides a Test Specifications document that needs to be utilized by all teachers in tested areas.  This document is to be used to align our curriculum work and update your pacing guides in order to meet and exceed expectations for learning. These documents tell you what types of questions (with sample verbage) and how many will be on the end of course assessment.  Please review your subject area document and be prepared to discuss in this week's PLC.  Here is the direct link to all subject area documents.  Click on the Test Specification links under each subject.

Academic Support Forms - Be sure to complete academic support forms for struggling students.  All procedures for completing the form can be found on the Academic Support Forms link found at the top of this page or by clicking here.

Grades - This Friday is the last day of the first quarter grading period.  As always, please make sure parents are contacted and support forms are completed for any students struggling in your classroom.  Final quarter grades are due on Wednesday, October 24th, with report cards being posted to Infinite Campus on Friday, October 26th.

Monitor Halls - Please stand at your door between periods. Not only does this help curb any negative behavior, it is a nice gesture to greet the students as they enter your room.

NEOTIE 2018 - On October 27, the 5th annual NEOTIE Conference will be held at Beachwood High School. The conference is a series of sessions for educators with a majority presented by local educators on topics related to technology use in classroom related to instructional goals. College credit is available at an additional cost for those interested. Click here to find out more information. Sean is paying for the first 10 staff members to attend this year If interested, please contact Sean no later than Friday, October 19th. When contacting Sean, send him your t-shirt size. Lunch is included!
