Important Information

Testing - Ahhh, we can all breathe a sigh of relief now that the AIR testing is done.  Thank you for all you have done to make the state testing an overall successful.  I have heard students really tried hard to do their best.  Thank you for the support and encouragement you gave to our students leading up to their assessments.  You worked with students during advisory periods, in boot camps, during remediation classes and before and after school to see that our students were successful.  Thank you, all, for your dedication to our students.  Now we head into the first week of AP exams.  We wish our students the best!

Teacher/Staff Appreciation - The paragraph above only slightly describes what a great staff you are and how much work you put into the ensuring all WGHS students are successful.  Thank you for teaching, advising, coaching, leading, directing, and counseling you provide for our students.  In honor of you, please join me on Friday for a luncheon in the teacher's lounge during your lunch periods. Again, THANK YOU!

eTPES Final Summative Evaluation - Your final summative evaluations are ready. All teachers need to stop by my office to meet with me by Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  Feel free to make an appointment if you prefer.  Thanks.

Academic Support Forms -  Please remember to complete forms.  The end of the year is quickly approaching and it is important to provide strategies for struggling students.  Involve them in the process and be sure to communicate this information with students' parents.

Eating in Classrooms - Please limit the amount of food brought into classrooms.  I know during advisory period we have teachers that work with students who are scheduled to be in lunch.  That is fine, but please do not make your room a lunchroom. We do not want insects and rodents in your room looking for food scraps. Thank you.

Graduation - This year graduation is at the State Theater in Playhouse Square.  As in the past two years, the Playhouse is a beautiful venue to hold graduation.  Please consider joining us.  Chelsea Talty sent a link out last week for those interested in signing up to help.

Senior Awards Night - Please be aware that the Senior Awards Night location has been moved from West Geauga High School to Mayfield United Methodist church. The church is located at the corner of Caves and Mayfield Roads.
