April 8 - 3rd Quarter Grades Due

April 9 - Grades Posted to IC Portal

April 10 - 13 - Easter Break

Important Information

Communication - With every student and parent I encountered last week, I ask if they know what is expected of them regarding classwork and Zoom sessions.  I haven't talked to or emailed anyone who was confused by your communication (or lack thereof). This tells me you have all done a tremendous job of communicating with your students leading up to this week.  Please continue this communication moving forward so students and parents are not left guessing about work, assignments, and getting help.

Excel TECC and CCP Conflicts - We know these conflicts will occur.  Work with students that have scheduling conflicts.  It is not required that all students meet with you during the scheduled Zoom "office hours."  Be sure, however, that you personally touch base with each student a couple times a week.  This can occur through zoom sessions or email communication.

School Calendar - If there is anything pertaining to your or your programs on the HS calendar, please let Tracy Suba and me know that changes need to be made. If your booster group or other meetings are canceled or are now meeting online, please make sure this information is provided so the calendar can be updated.  I would like all canceled events to be noted as such on the calendar so we are not confusing our families.  Thank you!

Attendance - At the end of this week, please let Shawn and me know of any students you were not able to communicate with.

Lesson Plans/Pacing Guide - (This is from my email to you on March 19. If you haven't already, please update soon.) All teachers need to share lesson plans and pacing guides with both HS principals and department heads (if applicable). I created a template that you need to copy for each course you teach. You will share the link to the document with me on this master schedule document. Video instructions are included here. Lesson plans for the week of March 30, 2020, are due on the morning of March 30, 2020. Lesson plans for the week of April 6, 2020, are due on Friday, April 3, 2020. All subsequent plans are due on Friday prior to the upcoming weeks. Intervention specialists, please also include lesson plans that meet the requirements of students’ IEP’s.

State Testing - With the cancellation of Ohio's Testing, you do not need to complete any of the prep work for this year's exams.  This includes the Test Administration Certification Course.

Thank you! - The last two weeks have been challenging, and the work time consuming for all of us. Thank you for working to support each other through this new learning process.  I truly appreciate that we had nearly 100% of our teaching staff at Friday's Zoom session.  You brought great questions and I hopefully was able to provide you with information to help you navigate and plan for the work ahead.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything.
