Important Information
ALICE Drill - Thank you for your work in preparing for the ALICE Drill. With the exception of the theoretical ALICE Drill at the beginning of the year, all safety drill procedures need to be followed except evacuation, unless ordered by police and/or administrators. We will have more drills this year and it is important that EACH of your classes know what to do if a safety situation occurs. For a refresher on ALICE, click here.

Food Drive - Please encourage your students to participate in Interact's Annual Holiday Food Drive. This has been a successful event in the past and we are looking to collect even more food this year. Please read last week's email from Mrs. Talty for more information. The food drive will run from November 11th through November 22nd. Thank you!
Consider the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art, Writing and Multimedia Contest - The purpose of this contest is to encourage students to reflect upon Dr. King’s life and the impact of his work during the Civil Rights Movement and in present day America. It challenges students to think about how civil rights and diversity affects their lives and how they can continue the work of Dr. King by making a difference in their own communities. As we study the standards in each content area, these activities can certainly be used to demonstrate mastery on ELA and social studies learning standards.
