Important Information

New Treasurer's Office Requirements - On Friday, Mrs. Laurita emailed HS staff regarding new rules needing to be followed.  The items are below.

1. All checks MUST be written payable to: West Geauga Board of Education.   No exceptions from this point on.  
2. Deposits MUST be deposited the day you receive them. 
3. All forms MUST be typewritten.  When you find the form you need under Staff Intranet, please remember to download the form before you begin typing.  Fill it out, review it, sign it then you can give it to me.  I will be sure to follow the necessary steps after that.
4. To replace the INTERNAL REQUISITION that you give me when you are ordering, I am attaching a new spreadsheet that you will fill out as an attachment to the internal requisition. This spreadsheet will be used when you have many items. Unfortunately, I will not be able to accept previous forms.  If you have any attachments that go with your internal requisition, I can attach it in this new system.

Professional Leave Requests - Please make sure all professional leave requests are submitted to me. After my approval and signature, they are sent to Mrs. Benincasa's office for approval.  Thank you.

Academic Support Forms - Over the weekend I discovered some of you were using an old Academic Support Form.  This may have happened because you bookmarked the old form in your web browser.  Each year a new link is created. Please use the link at the top of this page to complete your forms.  Thank you!

Grade Book - As we near the end of the quarter, please make sure your grade book is set up so that it reflects the district expectation of grades being 75% assessment based. This was discussed during our opening meeting and included in the opening presentation which is in your Google Drive.  Weighing grades can be set up manually in Infinite Campus or assigned in grade categories.  Please see Sarah Thrasher if you have any questions.

PSAT/NMSQT - The PSAT/NMSQT Assessment will be given to all sophomores and interested juniors on Wednesday, October 16th. The test will begin immediately at 7:25; therefore, we will not have a late start for those taking the test. Second period teachers need to be sure this is communicated with your sophomore and junior students on Monday and Tuesday. Students should come prepared with two number 2 pencils. Last year the test went a little into the 5th period.  Since we are using the cafeteria, we will make an announcement to hold students in class at the end of the 4th if the test runs long.

Parent Teacher Conferences - Thank you for another nice round of parent teacher conferences.  Our parents truly appreciate the time you give to provide them with feedback regarding their children's progress at West Geauga High School.  Please reach out to the parents you wanted to talk to but were not able to attend the conferences. Thanks again!
