Important Information

Tier 2 Strategies - As educators we must address intervention opportunities as they arise with students that continue to struggle in the classroom.  Our goal is to build positive relationships with our students, but it is equally necessary to establish connections with parents.  It is through these relationships that we encourage students to spend the needed time getting teacher support outside of the class period.   I have read over and over again that your intervention recommendations for students include spending time with them before school, after school or during advisory period.  Please be sure to communicate this with the struggling learner's parents.  It is through this relationship that they will help to ensure these appointments are made and kept.  Create an after school schedule that works for both you and your students and communicate this with the parents.

WG Marketing - West Geauga looks to publish good things that are happening in the classroom every week.  If you have a creative lesson that you think would be good for the newspapers, website or social media accounts, please take some photos of the students engaged in the lesson.  Send me the photos along with a two to three sentence caption.  Feel free to invite me into your room to take the photos if you wish.  I would love to see the great activities.

December 22nd PD - The schedule for next Friday's professional development is finished and posted for the high school. Please click here for the information.

Midterm Exam Schedule - Please direct all students to the high school's website for information regarding the 2017-2018 Midterm Exam attendance procedure. Students will also find the 2017-2018 exam schedule on the website. Teachers, please adhere to this schedule. Exams must be given in all classes.

Academic Support Forms - Please remember to complete Academic Support Forms for any student struggling in your classroom.   Procedures and instructions can be found by clicking here or on the Academic Support Form tab at the top of this page.
