Important Information

Teacher Appreciation - It is teacher appreciation week and I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how much our students, parents and administrators appreciate what you do for the children in this community.  You are a great group of educators and I am proud of the work you do. With the help of Mrs. Widing and the kitchen staff, Mr. Dahlhofer, Mr. Leonette and I will celebrate you by providing lunch for on Friday.  Enjoy.

AIR Testing - I know I stated this in an email to you last week, but I felt it important to emphasize again.  Thank you to all of you for the roles you played in making this year's AIR testing very successful.  You all did a fantastic job!  We only have a handful of students needing to make up their end-of-course exams and we are finished for the year.  Many of you commented on how you liked this year's set up, but please provide me with suggestions for next year if you have them.

Prom - Prom is just two weeks away and our students would love for you to see them all dressed up.    Please consider helping this year! Volunteers are needed to check students in as they arrive at 7:00.  The first six staff members to volunteer will receive a free dinner.  Please let Chelsea know ASAP.

Mock Accident - All seniors not taking an AP test will attend the mock accident on Tuesday during 5A.  Please announce this to your students so they can make arrangements to eat during 5B.  Please join our students in the north parking lot if you are available.

AP Tests - Please wish our AP students the best as many of them will be sitting for their exams over the next two weeks.  I know our AP teachers have worked extremely hard to prepare them for these assessments. The students truly appreciate the care and dedication you provide to help them succeed in the classroom and on their tests.  Great work!

Senior Signing Day - Senior Signing Day was this past Friday and it serves to congratulates and recognizes our seniors for deciding what they will be doing after they leave West Geauga High School. All senior photos will be displayed on certificates at senior awards night and all next week indicating their college or career choice. Thank you to Mr. Callahan, Mrs. Zannetti, Ms. Widman and Ms. Sargent  for your help in making this an important event. Thank you to everyone for supporting the activity by wearing your college colors.

Yearbook - Another fantastic yearbook by our Westwind staff and led by Mrs. Klampe and Mrs. Ward. Yearbooks will be distributed this week!
