Important Information

Indians Tickets - Join WGHS at the Indians game on Sunday, May 28th for a 1:10 baseball game.  Tickets are only $15 and are due to Kathleen Cooey by Thursday.

Academic Awards Breakfast - Please note the date change for the academic awards breakfast from April 20th to April 19th.  The date change was necessary due to AIR Testing.  An agenda will be emailed to you this week.  Counselors and administrators will be around to relieve you in class while you make your award presentations.  Thank you for recognizing these well deserved students. The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 9th.

Over testing - Please be aware that over 800 tests will be given over the next three weeks. It is important to allow our students to focus on these high stakes tests without worrying about preparing for large tests, projects and quizzes. Please be aware of this testing calendar when scheduling your summative assessments. The students greatly appreciate this consideration.

AP Test Fees - AP teachers need to make a class announcement that all AP fees need to be paid prior to the AP Test administration that begins May 1.  Thanks.

Testing - (From Friday's Email) Again, thank you to all of our teachers for supporting our students and providing solid instruction in anticipation of the upcoming AIR assessments. We truly have worked together as a team to prepare our students to be successful on the tests. Lisa Porter and Kathleen Cooey spent many hours this week organizing the details of ensuring the rooms are prepared, Chromebooks are ready and mice and headphones are in place when staff enters the testing rooms on Monday. Scheduling hundreds of tests is a daunting task and I appreciate the time and dedication of Kim Zannetti, Kim Glessner, Zuraya Hamad, Ron Dahlhofer and Michelle Sargent to ensure our students are appropriately organized in testing rooms. It is because of everyone on this staff that I feel confident we are off to a successful implementation of the AIR assessments with well prepared students. Thank you!
