Visitors - Please let Pam and Joyce know if you are planning a visitor in the building. This includes former students. Thanks.
Read Aloud and NGA - Did you know that students in Social Studies, Math and Science can have their state tests read to them using the accessibility feature in the assessment. However, students taking the English PARCC test must have an IEP or 504 with read aloud accommodations in order to access the read aloud feature. I recommend that you try this out with all of your students because some will like the feature and others will not. Read more here.

Important Information
| Both the boys and girls basketball teams opened their season with wins last week. |
Midterm Exams - Midterm Exams will follow a similar schedule to the past couple years. Please follow this link to this year's schedule. In the past we have had many phone calls from parents excusing their children from school during non testing periods. Please adhere to this schedule and keep the lessons relevant when you are not testing. Explain to your students that they are expected to be in class every day during midterm week.

Blood Drive - Thank you to everyone that donated blood on Friday. Stephanie and the students from student council did a nice job organizing the event.
Reach Each One - How have you reached out to the student in the room who is quiet and doesn't show much of an interest in your class? How have you pushed a student who has an A+ in your class to achieve even more? How will you reach the student that didn't do their homework but still needs the information in order to be successful?
