Important Information
Teacher/Staff Resource Website - Check out this link. Some valuable information and links for your reference.
Email - We all know that the two email systems are not a good situation. Please be aware that the district is close to finding a solution. I hope to provide you with more information in the upcoming days. Also, understand that our email is a matter of public record. Do not use the system to send personal email messages.
Grant Opportunities - As you may know, we have new grant coordinator within our district. Please see Brenda Harriss if you are working on or have interest in receiving grant money. The only time you do not need to see Brenda when working on a grant is when you are applying through the WEDGE foundation.
Invitation to Contribute - Do you have something you would like to share on this site? Have you recently discovered a successful student engagement activity that would benefit the entire staff? Are you doing something in the classroom that could benefit all of us? Have you recently read an article that we could all grow from? If the answer is yes, don't keep it to yourself. Send it to me and I will be happy to create a staff contribution section to this site.
Teacher Evaluations - Ron and I have begun to schedule observations. If we haven't already, we will be contacting you to set up a date and time.
Walkthroughs - Walkthroughs have also begun. We will stop in your room for 5 minutes to complete a walkthrough. The walkthough summary will be emailed to you and accessed through your PD360 account. Please see me if you do not know how to access this account.
PLC Work - Some of our PLC groups have made some great strides in completing the Common Core State Standard Curriculum Maps and others have a long way to go. Originally, Nancy B. stated that your maps needed to be finished prior to the end of the first quarter. An additional two weeks have been added to get these maps done because of the additional requirement to have them in template form. Make sure all of your map work is finished by November 8th. Use your time wisely on Wednesday mornings and stay focused on completing the map requirements.
