Important Information
Academic Referral Forms - Great job completing the Academic Support Forms. I am not requiring you to complete the forms by certain dates. Throughout the quarter, if you notice a student struggling, complete an Academic Support Form. If a student continues to struggle after three weeks, complete the Week Three Alert. After the sixth week, the student is referred to the RTI team for further intervention. All students who are currently at risk of failing or receiving a failing grade should have had a form completed.
Trouble Tracker - If you are experiencing problems with your computer equipment, send a trouble tracker to Ed at HSTrouble.Reports@westg.org.
Tardy to Class - We have a lot of students in the hall after the bell rings. Issue points to students who are not in class or study hall on time. Every minute counts in the classroom!
PTO Applications - West Geauga's PTO group is stronger than ever. I attended last night's meeting and the parent group is eager to support and promote what we do in the high school. Typically, this group provides breakfast for the teachers on Convocation Day and teacher lunches throughout the year. Please consider becoming a part of this group or just show your appreciation for what they do by becoming a member. Your membership does not require you to attend meetings or volunteer your time. Click here to download the membership form from their website. We also have forms in the office.
Public School Works - Several training video were due on September 15. If you haven't done so, please complete ASAP. The remaining videos are due on Oct. 30.
WEDGE - WEDGE is the West Geauga Educational Foundation, a nonprofit and volunteer-run organization. The group awards money for innovative and creative programs in the West Geauga School System. West Geauga Education Foundation is looking to fund innovative projects at the high school. Be sure to fill out an application if you have any ideas that could use some financial backing. Find more information at www.wgef.org.
Riverside Data Manager - IOWA Test - Anyone who taught grades 9-11 last year in the core subjects should have received an email (or several emails) this week giving you access to your entire departments results. The data you received will provide you with a good information that should drive conversation and instruction.
Email Issues- As you are aware, the district is still dealing with the fact that we have to applications accessing our email. The district is working to resolve these issues. Please continue to monitor both Outlook and Google in order to ensure you are receiving all messages. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Lockdown/Crisis Plan - If you haven't don't so this year, review the Crisis Flip Chart and Lockdown Procedures. Both documents are found in your shared opening day teacher folder in Google Drive. Let me know if you can not access these documents as soon as possible.
Teacher Performance Review Information - Your teacher performance review information has been placed in your Google Drive. You will be receiving information on how to log in to your eTPES account in the upcoming days.
Homecoming Parade - If you are an adviser to a school organization, please encourage your group to put together a float for the homecoming parade. The parade lineup has not been that strong in recent years and it would be a great representation of our school and a wonderful display of school spirit.
Homecoming Week - Thank you to Ms. Rischar for sending out the homecoming week details in an email. The details for the week are below.

If you are an advisor for a club/organization please encourage your students to do something for the parade (a float, decorate a car, march with a poster, etc.).
