Important Information

Food Drive - Please encourage your students to participate in Interact's Annual Holiday Food Drive.  This has been a successful event in the past and we are looking to collect even more food this year. Please read last week's email from Mrs. Talty for more information.  The food drive will run from November 6th through November 17th.  Thank you!

IEP and 504 Information- In last week's bulletin, I pointed out the fact that all teachers need to insure they are following students' IEP and 504 documents.  IEP's and 504's are given to all teachers at the beginning of the year.  They can also be accessed through Infinite Campus.  Middle School Counselor, Dusty Timmons, put together a tutorial for you to follow in order to access students' 504 documents online.  Please click here to access Dusty's 504 directions.  Here is a link with directions to access student IEP information.

Connectedness Chart -Evidence shows that students who feel cared for by adults in their school and those that feel part of the school's culture will perform better academically, have higher attendance rates and will less likely be involved in disciplinary issues. Mr. Callahan and Ms. Sargent have created an extremely valuable tool that can be used by all staff to identify any student needing to feel connected to our building. Please take a moment to identify students you have made a connection with. Please revisit this chart in a week and identify and reach out to any student needing a connection. Click here to access the chart.

Speaker Series - Thank you all for bringing your students to room 124 last week to introduce the Advisory Speaker Series to the students.  Here is a link to the Google Slides presentation that was given to the students.  If you have questions about the series, please meet Ron and me in the library on Tuesday at 7:00 A.M or Wednesday at 3:00 P.M.
