Important Information
NGA - The next generation assessments are here and I thank you all for your hard work in preparing yourselves and our students for the new tests. Our 9th grade teachers have done an outstanding job of putting kids in front of the assessments, helping fellow staff members navigate the online tools and supporting each other. Great Work!
Some additional items to remember regarding the tests:
- Some students and families have decided to opt out of the test. It is important that you continue to provide instruction for the students not taking the test.
- This can be a stressful time for our students with the demands of the classes, tests and being a teen. Please support our students by showing we care about them and the challenges they face.
- As you know, students are being tested in groups. Some students may be absent from you class while in a test. Please ensure that these students are not missing any instruction. Provide resources on your websites, blogs, Google Classrooms, etc. as well as classroom instruction.
- Please have parents contact me if they have general questions regarding the assessments.
- The Final 2014-2015 PBA Schedule folder that was shared with you has been modified due to some recent changes that needed to occur with the groupings. All student testing schedules that were handed out in class are correct; however, the groupings in the main calendar may have changed. Please get the latest calender by visiting the shared folder here.
